Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München is one of the leading universities in Europe with a tradition stretching back over 500 years. It stands for high-quality academic education and outstanding research. As the Chair of Mobile and Distributed Systems at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, we have numerous projects and research areas in the field of artificial intelligence and quantum computing for which we are looking for support at the earliest possible date.
As part of our QC projects, the “Quantum & Application Research Lab” (QAR Lab) was founded in 2016 as a flagship in this field. This is where we develop algorithms and platforms as the key innovations that will ensure quantum computers meet the high expectations. Our approach is practice-oriented: We have access to several existing QC systems such as IBM System One, Fujitsu DAU, D-Wave Systems Advantage. We want to realize the quantum advantage in the daily business!
In addition to our QC projects, our “Technology and Research on Artificial Intelligence Lab” (TRAIL) investigates various directions of AI and machine learning in order to gain new methods and insights that open the way for future applications and technologies. Artificial intelligence is creating exciting innovations that play an important role in everyday life today – from language translation and image processing to recommendation systems and autonomous driving. The current development of AI offers numerous opportunities to make a contribution in the areas of research, theory, technology and application.
We are looking for applicants who are equally passionate about artificial intelligence and/or quantum computing and want to support us in making our numerous projects a success.
The positions are temporary according to the project duration, with possibilities for extension. The place of work is in Munich. Part-time employment is generally possible. The pay grouping is in accordance with TV-L.
Severely disabled applicants will be given preference if their suitability is otherwise essentially equal. Applications from women are welcome.
